The United Nations Public Service Forum has officially opened in Samarkand.

The event is organized by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Public Service Development Agency, and the Agency for Strategic Reforms. The forum brings together ministers and heads of civil service authorities from countries across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa, along with representatives from international and regional organizations, academia, civil society, and the private sector.

At the conference’s opening, Assistant to the President Saida Mirziyoyeva delivered a welcoming address on behalf of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The ceremony also featured remarks by Navid Hanif, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Development, and Fadillah Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, who wished the conference participants success in their work.
