Samarkand hosted the Samarkand – Fujian Forum for Trade-Economic Cooperation and the Cultural-Tourism Forum.

The heads of Samarkand region and Fujian province of China, responsible workers in the economy, trade, tourism, culture, and entrepreneurs, attended the event.

At the opening of the forum, Acting Regional Hokim Adiz Boboyev, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee Sardor Niyazov, and Governor of Fujian Province Zhao Long spoke about the actively developing cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and China, including joint projects and investment programs implemented in the industry, agriculture, culture and tourism.

The Governor of the Chinese province expressed his willingness to support promising and profitable projects in this area.

The potential of the two regions in tourism, culture, transport, agriculture, investment, manufacturing, and industry was demonstrated at the event. B2B and G2B meetings were held, and several agreements and memoranda to strengthen cooperation were signed.

The guests visited the sights of Samarkand, got acquainted with the conditions created in the Great Silk Road International Tourist Center, and the Eternal City Complex.
