Nur Sultan hosts the World Martial Arts Championship.

Following the results, two wrestlers from Uzbekistan received the right to struggle for medals of the championship: Aram Vardanyan for gold, Nurbek Khashimbekov for bronze. The second day of the championship became even more successful for Uzbekistan athletes. Greco-Roman wrestler Rustam Assakalov reached the semifinals in 87 kilograms weight category.

According to Uzbekistan Wrestling Association, all semi-finalists of the World Championship will attend next year the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. R. Assakalov has already received the Olympics license.

In the semi-finals Rustam will confront Viktor Lőrincz from Hungary.
