According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, the elections in Uzbekistan were open, competitive and fair, they were held without serious violations, RIA Novosti writes.
– According to Russian assessments, the elections were open, competitive, fair, and fully compliant with the renewed Constitution and the Election Code of Uzbekistan, without any serious violations. The voting results reflect the will of the Uzbekistan people and provide an opportunity to continue the course proclaimed by the President of the country to build a New Uzbekistan. Accordingly, there is a reason to congratulate the people of Uzbekistan.
As stated in the publication, the Russian side closely monitored the course of the election campaign and the voting process:
– Russian representatives worked both as part of international observation missions through the CIS, SCO, OSCE, and in a bilateral format, in particular through the Federal Assembly, the Central Election Commission, non-governmental organizations, and so on.
