Ruslan Nuriddinov updates his record
Ruslan Nuriddinov and Sharofiddin Amriddinov successfully competed at the 2024 IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Bahrain.
Ruslan Nuriddinov, who competed in the weight category up to 109 kg, took fifth place in the snatch, lifting 182 kg. However, he demonstrated the highest skill in the clean and jerk, lifting 242 kg, and updated his world record set three years ago in Tashkent. His overall result was 424 kg. Ruslan Nuriddinov won the title of world champion for the third time.
Sharofiddin Amriddinov also became the gold medalist in the snatch, but in the clean and jerk, he lifted 212 kg and took sixth place, and with a result of 396 kg, he became fifth.
The Uzbekistan national team completed its participation in this World Championship with three gold, silver, and two bronze medals.
