The political process taking place in Uzbekistan today is widely covered by local and foreign journalists.

The Editor of the Diplomat Magazine in the Netherlands Roy Lie Atjam shared his opinion on the elections in Uzbekistan.

– I am glad to participate in this important event, – says Roy Lie Atjam. – I have been to Uzbekistan many times and participated in international events. These elections are held in a completely different way. When I visited the polling stations, I witnessed a lot of preparation for the elections. Everything was carried out in accordance with democratic principles. My attention was especially drawn to the fact that the election process is integrated with the IT sphere, electronic voting systems have been introduced, and almost all of these tasks are solved electronically. This is why the elections in Uzbekistan are very different from my country’s. Here they are held not electronically, but on paper.

This important political process will play a significant role in further developing New Uzbekistan.
