Hyatt Regency Tashkent hosts regional workshop on the issues of formation of respect for copyrighting, fight against counterfeiting and piracy in digital sphere.

The event, organized by the Agency for Intellectual Property of the Republic of Uzbekistan and World Intellectual Property Organization, was attended by local and foreign entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of the sphere from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

It was noted that projects aimed at automation of information, introduction of modern information-communication technologies and innovative methods are being implemented in the country. As a result of ongoing reforms, the number of Internet providers, domains, as well as information and entertainment resources is increasing.

Views were exchanged on measures of forming respect for copyrighting, on issues of Internet piracy, modern jurisprudence in the sphere of copyrighting, importance of domain name registrar in the fight against online piracy.
