President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the regional industrial fair of Andijan region.

The fair showcased nearly 500 types of products from 110 enterprises. Among them were successful projects in automotive and mechanical engineering, textile manufacturing, electrical equipment, digital technologies, construction materials production, food processing, floriculture, beekeeping, fish farming, and other industries.

The Head of state became familiar with the wide range of products and advanced developments manufactured in the region and spoke with enterprising business owners. He emphasized the importance of supporting successful projects and disseminating best practices across the country.

To this end, representatives from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, all regions, and the city of Tashkent, including responsible officials and entrepreneurs, were invited to the fair. Discussions are being held on joint production initiatives, cooperation, and trade.

Andijan region is home to more than 11,000 industrial enterprises, accounting for over 10 percent of the country’s total industrial output.

The region has 47 industrial zones, where 1,000 projects totaling 2.3 trillion UZS have been implemented, creating 18,000 jobs. In 2024 alone, these zones produced goods worth 1 trillion UZS, with exports reaching nearly $31 million.

To date, 288 investment projects totaling $1 billion are being implemented in the region.

In particular, 119 new projects will be launched this year, creating over 4,000 jobs. The volume of industrial product exports is expected to reach $47 million.

Following the President’s visit to Oltinkul district last year, 16 hectares of land were allocated to establish a furniture production cluster. The cluster now hosts over 100 workshops, 236 showrooms, and retail outlets.
