Therefore, special attention is paid to the expansion of pomegranate plantings, the creation of high-yielding and early maturing varieties.

By 2025, the pomegranate sown area in the region will reach 20 thousand hectares and more than 200 thousand tons of pomegranates will be grown annually. This will allow to export over 120 thousand tons per season.
