For the first time, Tashkent is hosting the QS Eurasia Forum. Organized by QS Quacquarelli Symonds with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and initiated by the Central Asian University, the forum is recognized as one of the most significant academic events in the Eurasian educational space.

More than 300 participants, including leading universities of Asia and Europe, ministries, research centers, and education specialists, are taking part in the event. The wide scope of the forum reflects strategic discussions positioning Eurasia as a unique educational civilization connecting East and West.

During the international gathering, speakers emphasized that global challenges such as climate change, rapid technological development, and labor-market transformation underscore the importance of stronger integration among universities. It was noted that Eurasian universities must consolidate their research potential to generate new knowledge and innovations that support economic growth and societal development.

The forum highlighted Uzbekistan’s notable progress in recent years, including the expansion of higher education institutions, the growth in the number of joint universities, increasing international accreditations, and the strengthening of academic mobility. The fact that seven universities from Uzbekistan are listed in QS rankings demonstrates the country’s rising position in the global educational landscape.

The 2025 QS Eurasia Forum is being held under the theme “Enhancing Opportunities: Building Global Bridges in Higher Education”. The program includes several strategic sessions:

– A main panel on Eurasia’s role in connecting East and West;

– A “Breaking Barriers” session for women leaders in higher education;

– A session analyzing models of international cooperation using Uzbekistan as an example;

– Masterclasses on global partnerships and university transformation;

– A practical workshop on participation in the QS World University Rankings.

Additionally, the forum will host the presentation of QS Stars and QS World University Rankings Awards to universities demonstrating growing quality and international recognition.

For reference, QS Quacquarelli Symonds is a global platform providing analytical, expert, and ranking services in higher education, setting important benchmarks for the development of universities worldwide.
