Creating conditions for the growing needs of the population in the ancient city of Samarkand is just as important as preserving the historical image. Therefore, modern housing is being built in the Qorasuv neighborhood on the outskirts of the city.

During a trip to the region in 2019, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev examined the first houses built here and got acquainted with the presentation of new projects. Over the past period, Agromir Buildings LLC has built 47 houses with a height of 16, 15, 14 and 12 floors for 3,588 apartments.

A three-layer wall covering has been applied, thanks to which the apartments will be warm in winter and cool in summer. The buildings are equipped with video surveillance systems, high-tech fire safety equipment. Each apartment has its own heating boiler, renovation ready.

The total number of multi-storey buildings in the neighborhood has reached 116. A school for 1600 places, a kindergarten for 120 places, a building for citizens’ assembly, shops, playgrounds and sports grounds have been built.

This year, it is planned to build seven more 16-storey and two 25-storey buildings.

The Head of the state paid special attention to the quality of housing and infrastructure. He noted the need for developing a mechanism for further strengthening the responsibility of the construction organization for the quality of construction.

“We have learned to build houses the way they do in developed countries, now, accordingly, it is necessary to improve their service”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Recommendations were given for expanding the range of housing services based on foreign experience, the organization of a service company and a special fire safety center.

Projects of the master plan of Samarkand and the expansion of the city’s territory were presented.
