Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Madrid held a meeting with Miguel Ángel González, President of the World Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers (FIJET Spain), and Irina Bohan, Head of the Federation’s International Department.
The parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of travel journalism, exchange of experiences, and the implementation of joint media projects aimed at promoting Uzbekistan as a unique tourist destination to a vast Spanish and international audience.
The sides agreed to begin work on the creation and promotion of a series of publications and print materials that will showcase the vibrant and multifaceted image of Uzbekistan – its breathtaking nature, rich national cuisine, ancient traditions and customs, architectural and historical-cultural landmarks, modern infrastructure, and the consistently warm and hospitable attitude of the Uzbekistan people toward their guests.
The Spanish side expressed its readiness to organize a press tour to Uzbekistan with the participation of leading Spanish travel journalists and reporters. It is expected that during this visit, representatives of the Spanish media will have the opportunity to personally explore the country’s tourism potential, visit key landmarks, and become acquainted with Uzbekistan’s cultural life and achievements in infrastructure.
In addition, representatives of FIJET Spain confirmed their commitment to providing extensive coverage of these visits through their print and online publications, as well as on respected international travel platforms.
