At the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, a meeting was held with the Co-Founder and Managing Director of the prominent British travel company Transindus, Amrit Singh.
Founded in 1989, the travel company specializes in organizing and sending tourist groups mainly to Asia.
At the meeting, the parties discussed increasing the flow of tourists from the UK to Uzbekistan and jointly holding promotional events to promote tourism opportunities and presentations of new destinations in Uzbekistan.
The head of the British company welcomed reforms in the tourism sector in Uzbekistan, the creation of new tourist complexes, and the introduction of visa-free entry for tourists from more than 90 countries. It was noted that Uzbekistan is one of the safest tourist destinations today, and the presence of direct flights connecting London and Tashkent has made the country increasingly popular among British tourists in recent years.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to send 2,500 British tourists to Uzbekistan this year.
The parties agreed to promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan at the Tourism Fair “Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show”, which will be held on February 1-4 in London, as well as organize the exhibition “Uzbekistan – Your Next Destination” for British travel companies and media representatives.
