A meeting with a delegation led by the Head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation Valery Pikalyov was held at the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Chairman of the State Customs Committee A. Mavlonov noted that special attention is paid to developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, including customs.
The parties discussed issues of further improving the simplified customs corridor, introduced to increase foreign trade turnover between the two countries. In particular, they discussed the prospects for introducing benefits and preferences for authorized economic operators, methodological coordination of examinations carried out by customs laboratories, and expanding cooperation in cynology.
The delegation got acquainted with the activities of the Customs Clearance Center and the Central Customs Laboratory, which were launched on August 29, 2023, during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the State Customs Committee of the country.
The guests were greatly impressed by the measures taken and the results achieved in digitalizing the activities of the customs authorities of Uzbekistan and simplifying procedures.
