Andijan hosted a business forum on “Development of preferential credit funds of the World Bank”.

The event, organized by the khokimiyat of the region together with the Agency for Development of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and a number of ministries, was attended by entrepreneurs engaged in agricultural activities and offering their business plans for the implementation of new projects, heads of farms, agricultural processing enterprises, representatives of banks.

Specialists provided participants with detailed information on agriculture, in particular, on development of horticulture and greenhouses, raising the work of processing fruits and vegetables and dairy products to a new level, developing business projects, the procedure and conditions for obtaining soft loans in banks.

At the event, reports were presented by representatives of the World Bank, heads and specialists of agencies for development of small business and entrepreneurship, horticulture and greenhouse farming, implementation of projects in agriculture and food supply, the State Committee for Veterinary and Livestock Development on the goals and objectives of such projects as “Diversification and modernization of agriculture”, “Development of rural entrepreneurship in Fergana Valley”, implemented with participation of the International Fund for Agricultural Development, development of preferential credit of the World Bank, implementation of new projects.

Within the framework of the forum, presentations were organized on cultivation, processing of agricultural products, development of horticulture, animal husbandry, creation of greenhouses.

Agricultural exhibition and a press conference were held at Andijan regional territorial administration of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
