A working visit to Egypt was organized for a delegation comprising S. Annaklichev, Chairman of the Council for the Development of Household Landowners’ Activities and Dehkan Farms and the Expansion of Agricultural Production, Ch. Mirzayev, Chairman of the Board of Turonbank, F. Mukhiddinov, Director of Uzagrostar Holding, and M. Bozorboyev, Director of Bulungur – Agro Star.
To establish close and long-term cooperation, a memorandum was signed with Mohamed Salem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian French Company for Plants Tissue Culture.

The program of the visit included an exchange of experience at all stages of potato production, from seed material to the export of finished products.
The memorandum aims to establish mutually beneficial, long-term cooperation in areas such as potato farming, seed potato cultivation, the introduction of in vitro technologies, scientific and innovative activities, and exports.

The company will supply 250,000 Hermes potato tubers to Uzbekistan. They will be used for cultivating seed potatoes in Uzbekistan using advanced Egyptian methods. The foreign company will also send three highly qualified specialists to Uzbekistan to oversee pre-harvest processes.

In addition, the document provides for the introduction of a full-cycle seed potato production system, the modernization of existing in vitro laboratories, and the establishment of a joint Uzbek-Egyptian venture.

The memorandum also envisions exporting products manufactured in Egypt to CIS countries via Uzbekistan, and exporting agricultural products grown in Uzbekistan to African countries via Egypt.
