At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim is in Uzbekistan on an official visit.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia visited the Hazrati Imam complex on May 18. The high-ranking guest was accompanied by the First Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Homidjon Ishmatbekov.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and members of the Malaysian delegation were informed about the history of the construction of the Hazrati Imam Grand Mosque.
“The high-ranking guest got acquainted with the copy of the Quran stored in the Muyi Muborak Madrasah – the Mushaf of Hazrat Uthman, its history, writing, and how it ended up in our country, about the restoration process”, says Mr. Homidjon Ishmatbekov. “The Prime Minister noted that he was impressed by the historical monuments he saw, created at the initiative of the Head of state by the Center for Islamic Civilization”.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia highly appreciated the work carried out on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to study the Islamic religion and promote its humanistic essence.
