Establishment of the Presidential University is provided for by the Concept for Development of Higher Education System of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030. It will become a leading education and scientific center for training professional personnel with high qualifications, modern knowledge and skills, independent thinking. In addition, a system of credit-module education will be introduced at the University.

At the event, it was also noted that applicants will pass exams in five subjects upon entering the university.
