President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange of Uzbekistan at Uzexpocentre.
On November 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange of Uzbekistan at Uzexpocentre.
The event, organized in accordance with the resolution of the Head of the state “On measures for further development of industrial cooperation and expansion of production of sought-after products” of May 1, 2019, continues from November 18. Here, about a thousand enterprises, companies and firms, small businesses and private entrepreneurship represent more than 10 thousand products.
Participants are becoming acquainted with export-oriented and import-substituting products of industrial enterprises, their quality and technical characteristics, wholesale and retail prices, enterprise capacity and other information. This is an important factor in the study of products that are in demand on the domestic and foreign markets, the search for partners for production and procurement, and the wide involvement of small business in the industrial sector.
The President got acquainted with goods presented at the fair, became interested in sales and the level of localization. The Head of the state noted the need for expanding localization, mastering the production of imported parts, increasing the number of customers by ensuring quality.
“When will the manufacturer develop? When his products are bought. Every enterprise and every entrepreneur who came to the fair must leave with a certain result, all goods – from a regular nut to large machines – must find their customer. The exhibition should be useful for each participant”, the Head of the state said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was also provided with information on the e-cooperation exchange portal created under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Industry – www.cooperation.uz.
This portal will help manufacturers find buyers, conclude contracts for the supply of products. The portal is connected to databases of customs, tax services, statistics and certification departments.
Agreements between industrial enterprises and customers are concluded online. The International Trade Center hosts presentations on the production potential of industries, regions, small business and private entrepreneurship, and proposals for cooperation.
