“Chirchik can be turned into an innovative city that is attractive for investments. Therefore, it is necessary to take an inventory of all buildings. There is all the infrastructure here. It is necessary to increase the carrying capacity of roads and railways, and to develop public transport. If conveniences are created, both new residents and businesspeople will come to the city”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President also visited Chirchik heat supply company.
There are 14 boiler houses in the city. One of them was built back in 1957. It works on a flow-through system, that is, it takes water from the city water supply system, heats it and delivers it to houses, which leads to excessive consumption of water and gas.
Therefore, the boiler house is being modernized according to Turkish technology. The project is worth more than $16 million and will be financed by a loan from the World Bank.
The capacity of the new boiler house will be 75 megawatts. Construction work will be carried out in three stages. As part of the modernization, 24 kilometers of heating mains will be laid in the city, high-quality heat supply will be established for 175 multi-storey buildings and 19 social facilities. The operation of the boiler house will save 12 million cubic meters of natural gas, 3.4 million kilowatts of electricity and 300 thousand cubic meters of water. Air emissions will be reduced by 4.7 thousand tons.
Presentation on the improvement of utilities and transport services in the cities of the region was held.
