On January 24-27, Tashkent will host the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
Anti-doping issues were discussed at a meeting organized by the Ministry of Sports on preparations for this event.
Representatives of the Ministry of Sports, the National Anti-Doping Agency, and the National Olympic Committee attended the meeting.
It was noted that heads and representatives of international sports organizations from abroad will arrive in Uzbekistan to advance international cooperation across multiple areas, particularly in anti-doping. The OCA General Assembly program includes the international conference “Strengthening Global Anti-Doping Governance: Harmonization, Compliance and Regional Cooperation”.
Relevant instructions were provided to officials responsible for organizing high-level international events and conferences, receiving foreign guests, and developing proposals to discuss current issues in the field.
