On the eve of the 686th anniversary of Amir Temur’s birth, a 50-minute film dedicated to the great ancestor of the Uzbek people was shown on the Polsat program of Polish television.

The film, which tells about Amir Temur as a ruler, commander and enlightener who played a significant role in the history of many regions of Asia, is accompanied by historical excursions and modern views of Samarkand, Bukhara, Shakhrisabz and other historical cities of Uzbekistan.

The film shows modern views of palaces and minarets, squares and architectural monuments of Samarkand and Bukhara, including those founded during the time of Amir Temur, who united and subjugated the lands between the Amudarya and Syrdarya, as well as Fergana and the Shash region.

The author tells about “The Code of Temur” – a valuable historical source of the Middle Ages.

The film notes that Sahibkiran, having created a huge power, prepared the conditions for the economic and cultural development of the region. As a result, Mawarannahr becomes the center of trade, economy and culture of the Near and Middle East, and the buildings erected by Amir Temur demonstrated the strength, power and greatness of his empire.

At the end of the film, it is noted that during the years of Sahibkiran’s reign, feudal fragmentation was put to an end, trade and diplomatic ties were established with major European countries – France, England, Castile.
