Surkhandarya hosts the cultural enlightenment events in connection with July 30, People’s Friendship Day.

Representatives of more than 20 nations and nationalities live in harmony, peace, and prosperity in more than 720,500 families in 724 mahallas of the oasis bordering three countries. Interethnic harmony, friendship, solidarity, good neighborliness, and the values and customs of different nations are widely celebrated at the events.

At the Melodies of Friendship event in Angor district, it was noted that in Uzbekistan, the rights and freedoms of all nations and nationalities are protected by law, conditions are created for learning their native language, and developing traditions and customs. Such attention strengthens mutual friendship and harmony, serves the development of Uzbekistan, and the preservation of peace and prosperity.
