
From June 23 to 25, the Days of Uzbek Culture are being held in Ulaanbaatar – a major cultural event aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and deepening mutual understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
As part of the program, an exhibition dedicated to the history and culture of Uzbekistan has been organized. While viewing the exposition, visitors noted the cultural affinity between the two countries.
At a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of Mongolia, Undram Chinbat, the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, emphasized the event’s historical significance.
“We are witnessing a historic event – for the first time, the Days of Uzbek Culture are being held in Mongolia”, Mr. Nazarbekov said. “This result of friendly and close cooperation between the leaders of our two states enhances respect for our shared history, values, art, and spirituality”.
The Minister expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of Mongolia and the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet for their support in organizing the event.
As part of the meeting, a gala concert was held at the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, featuring leading artists of Uzbekistan. The audience warmly received the vibrant performances, seamlessly blending traditional dances, melodies, maqom, and examples of Uzbek operatic art.
