In January-November this year, enterprises in the industry manufactured products worth 37.5 trillion UZS, meeting the forecast of 104 percent and an increase of 111.5 percent compared to last year.
During this period, 16.1 million tons of cement, 40.7 million square meters of construction glass, 48 million square meters of ceramic tiles, 86 million square meters of plasterboard, and other types of products were produced.
Export indicators were also high: products worth $753.6 million were exported, and the plan was fulfilled by 103 percent. Also, $2.03 billion of investments were attracted, of which $1.32 billion were foreign direct investments.
By the end of the year, products worth 40 trillion UZS will be produced. An increase of 112 percent is expected. The export volume is projected at $800 million, and localized production at 2.15 trillion UZS.
“The efficient use of production capacities of leading enterprises, such as RWS Optimum, Karakalpak Cement, Metal Invest, and others, ensures the development of the industry. In addition, import-substituting products, including high-quality cement and porcelain stoneware, are being established. In 2024-2025, 529 projects worth $4.5 billion will be implemented in the regions, and 25.5 thousand new jobs will be created. Of these, 309 projects worth $1.05 billion will be launched in 2024”, said Jamshid Shermetov, Head of the Information Service of the Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari Association.
