On March 27, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on improving the system of support for talented youth.
Significant opportunities have been created in the country to nurture intellectual potential and provide comprehensive support to young people. In particular, 14 Presidential Schools, 185 specialized schools, and 9 creative schools have been established. Their educational methods and assessment systems have also been implemented in 1,500 general education schools. Additionally, New Uzbekistan University has been founded to support gifted graduates.
These initiatives provide young people with access to high-quality education at global standards. However, it remains crucial to appropriately guide talented students and assist them in gaining admission to leading international universities.
During a meeting with youth in February, the President proposed several initiatives aimed at enhancing support for gifted students. At this presentation, practical and organizational aspects of implementing these proposals were discussed.

Specifically, starting this September, plans are underway to launch an international school. Initially, 60 of the most talented 8th-grade graduates will be selected. The educational program will be based on international standards and will include three components: core subjects, specialized disciplines, and courses in leadership and social engagement. The academic year will consist of three trimesters lasting a total of 11 months.
Additionally, in line with another Presidential initiative, a National Program will be launched to prepare young people for admission to universities of the American Ivy League. The program comprises six stages. This year, 3,000 students will be selected and guided by 208 mentors from Presidential and specialized schools.
Classes will be conducted in three-week intensive courses at the “Renaissance” Educational Center. Upon completing the training, the top 40 students will have the opportunity to participate in internships at Ivy League universities.

Special attention will also be given to the subsequent employment of young individuals who have been educated abroad. In this regard, it is proposed to establish the Golden Fund Community, a unified platform uniting talented youth. Graduates of foreign universities will be provided with various benefits, grants, startup programs, and other opportunities. An annual congress of this community is planned to be held on May 25 to discuss educational reforms, programs for gifted youth, and international experiences.
The President endorsed the proposed initiatives and emphasized the need for a systematic approach to supporting gifted youth.
Currently, 750 Uzbekistan students are pursuing their education abroad with the support of the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation. The Head of state instructed relevant authorities to expand these opportunities and further enhance the foundation’s activities.
