The Ministry of Economy and Finance hosted a roundtable discussion on “Enhancing Energy Efficiency and Ensuring Stable Heat Supply through Green Innovative Technologies”.

The event, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov, was organized in cooperation with international financial institutions and organizations.

Participants included representatives from the housing and utilities sector, the construction industry, and the ministries of energy, health, preschool, and school education.

Experts shared their views on the draft Presidential Resolution, which focuses on improving the energy efficiency of existing buildings and reforming and ensuring the stable development of centralized heating systems.

The event participants discussed issues related to reducing energy losses and implementing modern technological solutions to address existing challenges in the sector. 

During the drafting process of the resolution, the recommendations and experiences of the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank, and the International Energy Agency were taken into account. 

Experts from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank provided insights into their strategies for improving energy efficiency and heating systems. Representatives from UNDP, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and GIZ shared proposals on integrating green technologies into Uzbekistan’s heating system modernization efforts.
