Under the high patronage of the Head of the CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat of Central Asia, Mr. Bakhtiyor Gulyamov, the CBRN CoE National Focal Point of Uzbekistan, Mr. Otabek Kasimov, the UNICRI Regional Coordinator of Central Asia, Iryna Iarema, and in coordination with DG DEVCO, the Governance Team is currently conducting a two-hour online training for the National CBRN Team of Uzbekistan.

The objective of the online training “The Online Challenge: how to better coordinate and build partnerships” is to equip participants with cooperation and coordination techniques to successfully build partnerships, including online, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The online training further provides the National CBRN Team with the opportunity to discuss their challenges, experiences and lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic with seasoned experts on interagency coordination, crisis communication and negotiation.

The online training, which is conducted by the Governance Team, in partnership with the NFP and the National CBRN Team, is represented at this workshop by Prof. Linda Benraïs and Prof. Tariel Sikharulidze.

The online training takes place within the framework of the EU CBRN Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative that is led by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO).
