A reception took place in Tashkent on the occasion of the National Day of Oman.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps operating in Uzbekistan, business circles, and the general public attended the event.

“Today, we are pleased to celebrate the success achieved by our country over the years”, says Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan, Ms. Wafa Albusaidi. “Oman was among the first to recognize Uzbekistan’s sovereignty in December 1991 and opened its embassy in Tashkent in 2010. We are working together to develop consistent cooperation between our countries and increase the volume of mutual investments to $800 million by 2025. And, most importantly, the Government of our country fully supports the accelerated development of democratic processes in Uzbekistan”.
