The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov met with a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye Ebubekir Gizligider. The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector and promising projects.

In recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye has been actively developing. The intensification of cooperation in the agricultural sector, which corresponds to the interests of the two countries, deserves attention.

Minister Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov noted the need to use untapped opportunities in the agricultural sector and informed about the possibilities of exporting agricultural products through the creation of a value chain.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye Ebubekir Gizligider made several proposals to expand cooperation in such areas as introducing insurance systems for horticulture, fish farming, and crops and creating modern food safety laboratories.

The parties agreed to develop projects for the future.
