The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan has launched the Business Port project to support entrepreneurial activity.
The first event under the project was held in Tashkent, bringing together more than 250 company executives.
Within the framework of Business Port, entrepreneurs will be able to receive consultations on legal, financial, taxation, banking, intellectual property, marketing and PR, international cooperation, human resources management, and digitalization issues. In addition, a database of qualified specialists in these areas will be established.
“This project unites representatives of small, medium, and large businesses. It provides an opportunity to learn from one another, gain inspiration, and grow”, said Davron Vakhobov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “More than 250 business entities took part in the event. Together, they have created around 267,000 jobs and exported locally produced goods worth $1.7 billion”.
In a short period, many micro and small enterprises have achieved remarkable success and moved into the medium and large business category. For example, within one year, 1,600 microenterprises with a turnover exceeding 10 billion UZS transitioned to medium-sized businesses, while 143 enterprises reached turnovers of over 100 billion UZS and advanced to the level of large companies.
The Business Port project will help integrate entrepreneurial ideas, promote best practices, and develop a favorable business environment in Uzbekistan.
