As part of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, the first Uzbekistan – Malaysia Education Forum on “Opportunities and Initiatives in Higher Education for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals” was held.

A Namangan State University delegation led by its Rector, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Professor Sobithon Turgunov also participated in the event. 

The delegation visited several universities in Malaysia. At the University of Malaya, one of the most prestigious educational institutions in East Asia, Uzbekistan representatives got familiar with the teaching process in natural sciences and explored the university’s botanical garden. An agreement was signed between the two institutions, establishing an exchange program for faculty members and students between the Faculty of Science at the University of Malaya and the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Namangan State University. 

The signing of targeted cooperation agreements between prestigious universities in both countries will further expand the international engagement of Namangan State University.
