New opportunities for tourism

In recent years, special attention has been paid to increasing the number of tourist routes in Nanay, Mamay, Zarkent, and Qizilyozi mahallas of Namangan region’s Yangikurgan district.

New projects are currently being developed to make effective use of existing ecotourism opportunities in mountainous and hilly areas.

A working group led by the region’s Hokim, Shavkat Abdurazzakov, visited Nanay village, which received the status of a “tourist village”, where they became familiar with the project on creating an artificial lake on the territory of the Zarbdor mahalla.

As part of this project, a hotel, a restaurant, a wellness complex, recreation areas, and a park will be built on a six-hectare site.

It is planned to build the Zarkent and Orzu Grant complexes using advanced architectural solutions on a two-hectare site along the Podsho-ota River. The projects include capsule recreation centers, sports fields for basketball, football, and volleyball.

These initiatives aim to develop tourism in the region, create new jobs, increase the service sector’s potential, and support local entrepreneurship.

The head of the region instructed the responsible persons to strictly adhere to the standards for quality, safety, and environmental protection when implementing projects.
