The Information and Analytical Center for International Relations has been renamed the Center for Foreign Policy Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A presentation of the new center was held in Tashkent, which was attended by the heads and leading experts of research structures of the CIS countries – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov outlined the main goals and objectives facing the center’s team.

The new center will conduct comprehensive research on foreign policy, foreign economic activity, and international political and economic relations. This will allow it to develop effective strategies for implementing national interests worldwide.

At the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Center for Foreign Policy Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, led by Sanjar Valiyev, and the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research, led by Igor Makarov.

A memorandum was also signed with the Foreign Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. Both documents open new horizons for cooperation between experts from Uzbekistan and neighboring countries, emphasizing the desire to deepen scientific and analytical ties.
