Starting June 1, 2025, the visa-free agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China takes effect, allowing citizens of both countries to travel without visas for up to 30 days.

To enhance convenience for country residents and foreign guests, beginning June 2, all exchange offices of NBU located in Tashkent will offer buy and sell operations for Chinese yuan (CNY).

Additionally, the exchange offices at Tashkent International Airport operate 24/7 and are available in both the departure and arrival zones, ensuring convenient service at every journey stage. Travelers can purchase yuan before departure and exchange any remaining currency upon return.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan continues to enhance the quality of its financial services, supporting foreign economic and tourism activities by making banking services more convenient and accessible.
