On October 31 this year, the Presidential Resolution “On measures to establish Navoi State University” was adopted.

According to the resolution, Navoi State University will be established based on Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.

Considering the prospects for developing the region’s industries, one of the main tasks and areas of the university’s activities is creating a continuous education system for the training, retraining, and advanced training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel with modern knowledge and skills.

All students studying at Navoi State Pedagogical Institute will continue their education at the university, and starting in the 2024/2025 academic year, graduates will receive a university diploma.

Starting in the 2025/2026 academic year, the university will begin training personnel in the following areas:

– exact and natural sciences;

– information technology;

– artificial intelligence;

– economics;

– business and tourism;

– investment management;

– agriculture;

– ecology and environmental protection;

– logistics.

Joint educational programs will be launched with leading higher education institutions of foreign countries and the country in newly created educational areas and specialties, providing for the issuance of two diplomas.
