Various spiritual enlightenment and cultural events dedicated to International Women’s Day took place at the initiative of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The State Museum of History and Culture of Karakalpakstan has organized an exhibition of national costumes “Karakalpak Women: Yesterday and Today” by the Committee for Family and Women and Karakalpak Department of the Agency for Youth Affairs together with the Karakalpak Branch of the “Youth – Our Future” Foundation.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan R.Saparbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Chairman of the Committee for Family and Women M.Akhmedova and others. They congratulated the participants on the holiday of kindness and beauty – International Women’s Day.

At the exhibition, more than 10 artisans from cities and districts presented a spring collection of national clothes. The exhibition was held on the first days of spring, giving the participants a festive mood.

Following the event, certificates of commendation were awarded to women who, with their creativity, desire for innovation, and modern research, actively participated in promoting national and cultural heritage.

The event ended with a concert program of famous artists.
