In Mirzaobod District of Sirdaryo Region, new houses built on the basis of standard projects have been commissioned.

In accordance with a resolution, dated 3 August 2009, by the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, “On additional measures to expand the scale of housing construction in rural areas”, about 3 thousand new residential homes have been built in Sirdaryo Region to date. In the Year of Maternal and Child Health, 100 families of citizens’ gathering of the Boghiston neighbourhood of Mirzaobod District moved into new houses.

A school, a rural medical station that has modern medical equipment, a sewing workshop and consumer services facilities have been built in the neighbourhood.

Young people are happy about a sports complex that has been supplied with sports equipment, and a football field with artificial turf and about the opportunity provided to engage in various types of sports. Moreover, 15 graduates of vocational colleges have got permanent jobs.

“We like this new home very much. We held a house-warming party on the eve of the independence holiday. Thanks to a long-term preferential credit from Qishloqqurilishbank, we have a three-room apartment which has a large and bright guest room, cosy bedrooms, a kitchen and a utility room. We are glad that in the Year of Maternal and Child Health we moved into our own home, which in terms of conveniences created is as good as homes in towns. In the land attached to the apartment house, we would like to plant fruit trees and grow vegetables. We are grateful to our state for the care and attention being provided to the population,” says Elmurod Bozorov.
