In his speech, the head of Uzbekistan delegation emphasized that the country considers Egypt as a unique production site and transport hub for export-import operations, and the supply of goods to the African market. Intensification of interaction between the two countries in trade-economic, investment and industrial sectors, including the implementation of economic agreements reached during the official visit of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Saeed Hussein Khalil el-Sisi to Uzbekistan in September 2018, was noted.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Usmanov informed the workshop participants about the progress in implementing the Action Strategy for further development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, the state of bilateral cooperation and promising areas of Uzbekistan – Egypt relations in trade, investment and other areas of mutual interest.

Videos on historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan people, as well as the tourism potential of the country and measures taken in the field of tourism development were demonstrated at the workshop.
