Konya hosted an international symposium “Mevlana Rumi and Alisher Navoi: The Radiance of Knowledge and Wisdom from Anatolia to Khorasan” on May 5-6.

The event was organized in cooperation with the International Public Foundation “Alisher Navoi”, the Konya city administration, the Faculty of Literature of Selçuk University, and the Mevlana Research Institute.

The event was attended by scholars from Uzbekistan and Türkiye, as well as experts and researchers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Cyprus, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, who shared their academic findings.

At the opening ceremony of the symposium, speeches were delivered by Olimjon Davlatov, Executive Director of the International Public Foundation “Alisher Navoi”, Mayor of Konya Ibrahim Altay, and others.

The symposium featured presentations rich with new insights into literary traditions, Navoi studies in Türkiye, and manuscripts of Navoi.
