Rome hosted the Second Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Italy. A delegation led by Omonulla Salikhov, Rector of the National Institute of Art and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod, attended the event.

A conference, “Innovations and academic cooperation between Italy and Uzbekistan: Current state and prospects”, was organized within the framework of the forum.

During the forum, the Institute’s delegation became familiar with the activities of the Rome University of Fine Arts, which is considered one of the country’s leading universities in the field of fine arts. A constructive meeting was held with the university administration. Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed, providing for the exchange of students and teachers, as well as the implementation of international internship programs.

The delegation members also visited the Accademia di Belle Arti dell'Aquila, where they got acquainted with the educational programs and the exhibition organized within the framework of the ItARTS Project. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed to strengthen the partnership.
