Today, a delegation led by Senator Sarmad Ali, Chairman of the Pakistan – Uzbekistan Friendship Group in Pakistan Senate, met at the Central Election Commission.
The meeting, organized with a group of observers for the elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Local Councils, was led by the CEC Chairman Zayniddin Nizamkhodjayev.
During the dialogue, it was noted that cooperation between the parties expanded thanks to friendly relations, and an exchange of experiences was established.
The need for consistent development of relations was also emphasized.
The guests got acquainted with the innovations introduced into the country’s electoral legislation and appreciated the positive changes in this direction. They expressed confidence that the elections are entirely consistent with international democratic principles.
The observer mission and representatives of foreign delegations are visiting polling stations in various regions of the country and directly observing the voting process.
