Representatives of the delegation led by the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Sikandar Sultan Raja visited the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan.

The CEC Chairman Z. Nizamkhodjayev noted the changes made to the Election Code, particularly the transition to a mixed system of Elections of Deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, combining the majority and proportional systems. The advantages and possibilities of the “E-Saylov” information system, introduced into national electoral practice, and the professional development of members of election commissions at all levels in accordance with the Concept of Professional Development were emphasized.

During the conversation, it was noted that the historical ties between the two countries had been further developed in recent years, and the need for consistent strengthening of relations in the future was emphasized.

The guests noted with satisfaction that during this important political process, the interests of the people are put first, and most importantly, citizens are well aware of the importance of elections and are highly active.
