The Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, met with the Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar.

At the meeting, Ambassador Toivo Klaar highly praised Uzbekistan’s achievements in its rapid development across various sectors, improvements in the population’s standard of living, and ongoing efforts in digital technologies. 

Minister Shermatov emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with European countries, considering the specifics of the European market. 

Additionally, the parties discussed prospects for collaboration in telecommunications, including the implementation of joint projects to provide high-speed internet to remote regions using modern satellite communication systems. 

Following the meeting, both sides expressed hope for effective and mutually beneficial cooperation and the successful implementation of joint projects soon.
