The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium Didier Reynders, in Brussels.

On November 22, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium Didier Reynders, in Brussels.

The sides reviewed bilateral relations, focusing on promising areas for further development of cooperation, including in Uzbekistan – European Union format.

The Belgian side expressed appreciation for Uzbekistan’s support for its candidacy in voting for non-permanent members of the UN Security Council election for 2019-2020.

It was noted that both sides attach great importance to deepening trade-economic and investment relations. Uzbekistan welcomes the intensification of the Belgian business community in implementation of mutually beneficial projects in such sectors of the economy as textile, electrical and construction industry.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the meeting, issues of deepening cooperation in environmental, cultural, humanitarian and tourism fields were discussed.
