First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia Zurab Abdushelishvili.

On July 25, 2019, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia Zurab Abdushelishvili.

Current issues of Uzbekistan – Georgia agenda were discussed at the meeting, with an emphasis on priority areas for further development of bilateral relations.

Special attention was paid to prospects of expanding cooperation in tourism sector, where new opportunities are opening up due to resumption of air traffic on Tashkent – Tbilisi – Tashkent route from July 16, 2019.

The parties discussed preparations for the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Georgia, as well as the schedule of upcoming joint events.
