The international scientific-practical conference “Maturidiyya – the doctrine of tolerance, moderation and knowledge” has kicked off in Samarkand.

Verses from the Holy Quran were recited at the beginning of the event.

The Presidential Advisor Ruslanbek Davletov read out President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s greeting to the conference participants. 

Over 70 muftis, Islamic scholars, researchers of Maturidiyya, government and public figures, representatives of the religious and educational sector from 26 countries such as Egypt, Türkiye, Malaysia, Great Britain, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are taking part in the event.
