President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has received credentials from the ambassadors of eight foreign countries, BelTA reports.
The ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Japan, Nepal, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Republic of Guinea presented their credentials to the Head of state.
Addressing the ceremony participants, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized: “We proceed from the fact that improving the quality of life of people is possible provided that safety, a just world, fair distribution of resources and labor results are maintained. This can be achieved if we work together, not separately. Only through peace and stability will we be able to guarantee a decent future for our children and grandchildren”.
Therefore, the President explained that Belarusian foreign policy’s basis is respect, equality, and justice. Belarus is ready for dialogue with all countries, without exception, on any issue. Still, special attention is paid to interaction with those states that want it, with which our country has a lot in common and with no closed issues today.
By tradition, the President of Belarus briefly described cooperation with each country represented by diplomats.
Comprehensive ties with Uzbekistan, which is considered here as a strategic partner in Central Asia, are significant for Belarus, the President stated, in particular, when accepting credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan in Minsk, Rakhmatulla Nazarov.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the recent warm welcome and substantive dialogue, which will soon result in implementing new breakthrough projects and developing interregional ties.
“I am confident that you, Mr. Ambassador, as a person who has worked in Belarus and knows our country well, will be maximally involved in the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level and will use all your knowledge and experience to strengthen bilateral ties”, the Head of state said.
