Uzbekistan is actively using green energy sources, and projects are underway to launch solar panels and wind turbines with the participation of leading foreign companies such as Masdar and ACWA Power.

This was discussed at a meeting between the Deputy Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association, Jakhongir Jamolov, and Masdar representative Bekzod Teshabayev. Issues related to supplying products for wind and solar power plants and energy storage systems by local electrotechnical enterprises were also discussed. Views were exchanged on cooperation with local specialists in the implementation of projects of foreign companies.

The Head of state set the task to bring the total capacity of green power plants to 27 GW by 2030. Green energy projects require cable and wire products worth $500 million. To achieve this goal and meet Uzbekistan’s need for environmentally friendly energy sources, Uzeltechsanoat actively cooperates with Masdar, ACWA Power, and other large companies.
