Liuzhou Marathon – a symbol of environmental sustainability and global cooperation
The traditional international marathon took place in Liuzhou, attracting approximately 25,000 runners.
The program featured the classic marathon distance (42.195 km) and a half-marathon (21.0975 km). The route, which runs along the Liujiang River, thoughtfully blends urban infrastructure, natural scenery, and cultural heritage sites.
In spring, during the massive blooming of bauhinia, the marathon route transforms into a natural gallery decorated with blossoms. This boosts the event’s international prestige and helps it earn recognition as one of the “most beautiful marathon courses”.
In recent years, Liuzhou has carried out large-scale environmental reforms, such as protecting water resources, expanding green spaces, and adopting the “Park City” concept. This promotes sustainable development and shows the emphasis placed on environmental issues in China’s national policy.
The strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China continues to grow steadily, especially in trade and economics, investment, transportation and logistics, and cultural and humanitarian areas.
The Liuzhou Marathon is more than just a sporting event. It also serves as a key international platform for promoting modern urbanism, environmental sustainability, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
